Gunmen attacked two communities of Mangu and Bokkos, killing 15 people, one of whom was a 200-level Computer Science student of the institution.
The Jos Magistrates’ Court, on Friday, sentenced a 43-year-old welder, Solomon John, to three months’ imprisonment for stealing a car battery.
The magistrate, Shawomi Bokkos, summarily tried and sentenced the defendant after he pleaded guilty to the charge.
Mr Mutfwang described the attack as unfortunate and unacceptable.
Mr Mutfwang said his administration constituted a resettlement task force to ensure the safe return of IDPs to their ancestral homes.
The CP said the suspects were apprehended by his men at different locations during its special Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
“Adherents should sustain the lessons of Ramadan, such as endurance, patience, sacrifice and sharing in their livelihoods,” he said.
Mr Mutfwang inaugurated the task force on March 25 to facilitate the safe return of IDPs to their ancestral homes.
The projects also consist of 68 stores, 68 offices, two Ventilated Improved Pit (VIP) latrines, and nine boreholes, among other things.
The Kogi House of Assembly has constituted a seven-member committee to probe the revenue accruing to the North-Central state.
